Coteau Beach is a resort village on the western shore of the Thomson Arm of Lake Diefenbaker, in the Rural Municipality of Coteau No. 255. It lies about 10 kilometres east of Highway 45 and roughly 40 kilometres southeast of the town of Outlook.
The community incorporated as a resort village on August 1, 1982. Today it is run by an elected municipal council together with an appointed administrator.
